Maurice Sheperd Knight

Maurice S. Knight April 14, 1914 – February 9, 2006 Maurice Knight passed away Thursday, February 9, 2006 after a short illness. Military graveside services will be at 10:00 am Monday, February 13 at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, Highway 195 in Killeen. Visitation with the family will be from 5:30 to 7:30 pm Sunday, February 12 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Maurice was born April 14, 1914 in Moselle, MS to Joe and Vallie Knight. He and Florence Hendricks married July 8, 1944 while both were in the military. He retired from the USAF as a Tech Sgt and later from General Dynamics. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Florence A Knight of Waco; his three sons: Gary Lee Knight of Dallas, Michael Mike Knight and wife, Marilyn of Waco, and Richard Maurice Knight and wife, Linda of West. He is also survived by his grandson, Michael Knight, Jr. of Waco and two sisters: Frances York of Pierson, FL and Elsie Ruth Abraham of Inverness, MS.
