SPILLER, MAURINE Maurine A. Spiller, age 80, of Waco died Thursday, September 20, 2001 at a Waco hospital. A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday, September 26h at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jimmie Johnson officiating. Visitation with the family will be 6:00-8:00PM Tuesday, September 25th at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mrs. Spiller was born June 1, 1921 in Waco, TX to William J. and Belle Brady Anthony. She attended Waco schools and graduated Class of 1939. She moved to Washington, D.C., where she worked in the first office that opened in the Pentagon. She married Robert L. Spiller, Jr. on January 6, 1943; he preceded her in death April 4, 1989. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Waco. She was Past President of the Federated Clubs, a member of Les Belles Ami, Waco Historic Society, Garden Council and a longtime volunteer of Red Cross and Meals on Wheels. She was an avid bridge player. Survivors include: Daughters: Susan Spiller Frindt of Woodland Park, CO Beverly Ann Spiller Leo of Bradford, NH Son: Lee Anthony Spiller of Center Ossipee, NH Grandchildren: Alan Leo, Benjamin Leo, Bryson Frindt, Austin Frindt, Moselle Spiller and Zoe Spiller Sister: Hattie Jo Barrett of Waco Brother: Brady Anthony of Riesel Memorials may be made to New York World Trade Center Memorial.
