Maxine Hicks February 27, 1924 - June 28, 2008 Maxine Hicks, longtime resident of Waco and wife of Ross Hicks, Jr., passed away on June 28, 2008, after an extended illness. Services will be on July 1, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Visitation will be Monday June 30, 2008 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Maxine was born on February 27, 1924 in Mineral Wells, TX, to Vera and Grady Kearby, where she grew up and later married Ross Hicks, Jr. She is survived by her loving husband, Ross Hicks, Jr.; son Minister Mark Hicks, III of Grand Prairie, a granddaughter Christie Hicks of Stillwater, OK; brother, Troy F. Kearby, of Dallas; and sister-in-law, Sandy Kearby McDonald. Maxine will always be remembered for her love of friends, playing bridge, and her compassionate spirit for all who shared her life.
