Maxine Williams March 8, 1930 - April 9, 2007 Maxine Williams of Waco, TX passed away Monday, April 9, 2007 at Providence Hospital. A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 12, at First Baptist Church of Waco with Dr. Scott Walker officiating. Visitation with the family is at 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, at Wilkirson Hatch Bailey Garden Room. Maxine was born March 8, 1930 in Moody, TX to Payne and Mattie Barham. Maxine was a graduate of Waco High School in 1947 and from Baylor University in 1951. She taught in Jefferson Moore and Waco High Schools. She was most remembered for her Spanish teaching and was loved by all her students. She and Bill Williams were married in 1952 and he preceded her in death in 1987. Maxine has been a lifelong Baptist and was a member of First Baptist Church of Waco. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her brother, Carl Barham. She is survived by daughter, Laura Bing and husband, Micah of Waco; son, Carl Ray Williams of Waco; grandchildren, Tiffany Bing and Joshua Bing; and sister, Ila Mae Green. Memorials may be made to the Beta Pi Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa Teacher Sorority thru Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey.
