Mayme Murphy Mcbrayer

MCBRAYER, MAYME MURPHY Mayme Murphy McBrayer, age 94 died Wednesday, March 31, 2004 at her home after a long illness. Graveside services will be held at 10am Friday, April 2 at Lorena Cemetery with Chaplain Curtis Holland officiating. Burial will follow at Lorena Cemetery. Mrs. McBrayer was born February 3, 1910 in Falls County to Minnie and Ennis Murphy. She married Thomas McBrayer September 22, 1933. He preceded her in death January 30, 1990. Mayme served as postmaster at the Lorena post office for 28 years. She was a member of Lorena Baptist Church and served many years as nursery director. Survivors include sister, Minnie Pace of Lorena; niece, Dimple Joern of Lawton, Oklahoma; nephews, Ralph Murphy of Houston, Clede Murphy of Denver, Colorado, and Edwin Kirkland of Lorena and several great nephews. Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Webb, Danny Ozment, Bruce Fry and Bruce Bowman. Memorials may be made to favorite charity.
