Mearl Elizabeth Kitchens October 4, 1931 - May 30, 2014 Mearl Elizabeth Kitchens of Waco passed away Friday, May 30, 2014, at Regent Care Center. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 3, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with the Rev. Curtis Holland officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 2, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Mearl was born October 4, 1931, in Gholson, Texas, to Marcus and Myrtie Lightfoot. Mearl was a member of New Road Church of Christ in Waco. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William P. Kitchens; and her brother, Glendal Lightfoot. She is survived by one daughter, Sussie Stokes and husband, Jerry, of Lorena; one son, William Kitchens and wife, Gwen, of Woodway; five grandchildren, Donnie, Kevin and Lisa Stokes, Billy Kitchens and wife, Stephanie, and Jamee Binner and husband, Kyle; five great-grandchildren, Morgan and Maryn Binner, William Lawson Kitchens, Audrey Bird and Jorgia Whitt; and many friends and family.
