MELVIN C. LASSETTER Melvin C. Lassetter, 38, of Waco, died Monday November 26, 2001 in a local hospital. Services will be 2:00pm Thursday November 29th at Bosqueville Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Houser officiating, burial will follow in the Bosqueville Cemetery. A visitation for friends and family will be held 7:00pm until 9:00pm Wednesday at Wilkirson Hatch Bailey funeral home, 1124 Washington Ave. Melvin was born February 1, 1963 in Waco to Donald and Judy Lassetter. He was a graduate of Waco High School class of 1981. He attended East Texas State University at Commerce, McLennan Community College and Baylor University. He had worked for Cox’s Department Store for 11 years. He was working for Lochridge Priest Inc., where he had been for the past 7 years. He was an avid Bowler and on the Men’s Board of the Waco Bowling Assoc. He was the Treasurer of the Bosqueville PTA and a member of Bosqueville Baptist Church. His mother, Paternal Grandmother Janie Stella Lassetter, Maternal Grandfather Roy Lee McDowell, Niece Nancy Judith Lassetter, Nephew Paul Donald Lassetter-Bukowski, Several Aunts and Uncles, preceded Melvin in death. Melvin was greatly loved and will be dearly missed.
