Melvin Walter Cawthon October 7, 1937 - February 13, 2013 Melvin Walter Cawthon of Mabank, Texas, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at East Texas Medical Center. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 16, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home in Waco, Texas. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 15, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Melvin was born October 7, 1937, in Waco to Nathan and Leo Cawthon. He worked at Quinius Pest Control for 25 years. He enjoyed artwork, took an avid interest in world events, and being with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nathan and Leo Viva Cawthon; a brother, Leo Cawthon; and a daughter, Karen Denijse Cawthon. He is survived by three sons, Nathan Cawthon of Mabank, Carl Cawthon of Eustace, TX, and Dale Cawthon and wife, Lynn, of McKinney, TX; and seven grandchildren, Justin, Alissa, Matthew, Michael, Brandon, Karen and Shelbi Cawthon.
