Michael Allen Graupner

Michael Allen Graupner, 63 years old, passed away January 14, 2022, at his residence. Services will be Saturday January 22, at 2:00 pm, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home with Pastor Lucio Martinez officiating. Visitation will be January 22 at 1:00 pm, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Mike was born in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, on September 23, 1958. He grew up in Chicago and went to Rockford Highschool. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and served for five years. Right after his discharge, he started working for an IT company helping to develop the GPS system in California. He worked as Senior Project Manager for 40 years helping companies around the U.S. with important projects. During the latest years of his life, he worked in the health care system as Senior Project Manager in the IT department. After his first marriage, he married Irma in 2009. They lived in California for six years, and in 2015, they decided to move to Texas to be closer to the family. He loved to spend time with family and friends, since family was the most important part of his life. He was passionate to pass his knowledge and encourage the next generation to live a fearless life. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Richard; his mother, Ramona; and his sister, Cheryl. He is survived by his wife, Irma Ballesteros Graupner; stepdaughter, Becky Eggers and wife and children, James and Sophia; stepdaughter, Laura and her husband and children; stepdaughter Alejandra Gonzalez de Serrato and husband, Noe Serrato; grandchildren, Marialejandra and Noe; stepdaughter, Angela Castillo and husband, Reggie Castillo; grandchildren, Lucas and Marcos; stepdaughter, Bertina Ines Gonzalez de Herrera and wife, Selene Herrera; and grandchild, Camil.
