Mike Caldera July 4, 1925 - July 26, 2014 Mike Caldera of Waco passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 29, at St. Francis on the Brazos Catholic Church with Rev. Roman Burgos as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. and Rosary service at 7 p.m., Monday, July 28, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Mike was born July 4, 1925, in Asa, Texas to Frank and Dolores Barbosa Caldera. He was devoted to his family, and loved dancing with his wife and enjoyed fishing. He was a member of St. Francis on the Brazos Catholic Church in Waco. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Cornelia Caldera; brothers, Cerilo, Paul, Ysabel, and Sam Caldera. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Mary Caldera, of Waco; daughters; Mary Smith and husband, Richard, of Waco, Loreta Palacios and husband Jerry, of Frisco, Texas, and Rose Jimenez and husband, Robert, of Waco; sons, Mike Caldera, Jr. of Waco, and Steve Caldera of Waco, 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Dominga Castillo, Bonnie Medina and Clara Selio, all of Temple, Texas. Pallbearers are Augustine Palacios Randall Smith, Ryan Smith, Anthony Hudson, Adam Jimenez, and John Sanchez, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers are Billy Caldera and Matthew Caldera.
