Michael Eugene Moser passed away Saturday, August 13, 2016. Graveside services will be 9:00 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 18 at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 17, at Wilkirson Hatch Bailey Funeral Home. Michael Eugene Moser was born October 20, 1943, in Palestine, Texas, to Leslie and Ruth Moser. Michael most fondly remembered the carefree days of his childhood in Nacogdoches, Texas and of summers spent in Boulder, Colorado where his father was getting his doctorate. Michael was able to make his own educational marks - a bachelor’s degree from Baylor University and a Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He married Trudy Cosper on June 4, 1966. They lived in Ballwin, Missouri, and later, in Hewitt, Texas. Trudy and Michael were married for 50 years, a testament to their devotion to one another. He is survived by their two children, Steven and Teresa. He also has a sister, Dr. Kay Moser, and a brother, Stan Moser, both residing in Tennessee. After he graduated from the seminary, Michael moved his new family to Ballwin, Missouri where he worked as a registrar at Missouri Baptist College. He left Missouri and brought his family back to the Waco area in 1984 to help his parents with the family real estate business. When his parents’ health began to decline, he and Trudy were tireless caregivers in service to them for six years until his parents passed away. Always a scholar, Michael loved to discuss and debate the Bible and theology with anyone, and he had many interesting theories about the Bible. The family prays that God has finally answered his questions. Michael was a good man, who loved to make people laugh. He had a big heart for animals and would help anyone in need. He was sincere in his feelings, and even in his passing, tried to make those around him more at ease. His family will truly miss him. The family invites you to leave a message or memory in our “Memorial Guestbook” at www.WHBfamily.com.
