Michael "Mike" Patrick Mcnamara

Michael Patrick McNamara October 2, 1947 - September 1, 2015 Michael Patrick McNamara of Waco passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2015. Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 9, at First Baptist Church of Waco with the Rev. Barry Camp officiating. Burial will follow at Bosqueville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, September 8, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Mike was born October 2, 1947, in Waco, Texas, to T.P. and Margaret McNamara. He attended Richfield High School and graduated from Baylor University. Immediately after Baylor, Mike was appointed Deputy U.S. Marshal and served 34 years. He was Chief Investigator of the McLennan County District Attorney's Office, at the time of his death. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved sister, Betti Rose Driscoll. He is survived by his son, Michael Patrick McNamara, Jr., wife, Claire, and their children, Michael T. and Madeline McNamara; daughter, Anna Margaret Shanks, husband, Marcus, and their son, Cullen Shanks; son, Scott Parnell McNamara and wife, Amanda; mother of his children, Joann McNamara Clifton; brother, Thomas Parnell McNamara, Jr. and wife, Charlotte; and extended loving family.
