Middye Gwen Sellers

Gwen M. Sellers January 11, 1916 – February 21, 2006 Gwen M. Sellers, 90, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2006 in Dayton, Ohio. Services will be 11:30 am Tuesday, February 28, at Wilkirson Hatch Bailey Chapel. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial North. Visitation will be at Monday, February 27 from 5-7pm at the funeral home. Gwen was born in 1916 to parents, James Matthew Miller and Middie Ann Butler Miller in Mt. Calm, TX. In 1939 she married Oscar “Si” Sellers and settles in Waco, TX. She was a career orthopedic nurse, touching the lines of many doctor and nurse colleagues and countless patients at Providence and Hillcrest hospitals in Waco. She lived in Waco until 1994, when a serious injury made it necessary for her to move to Dallas and later, Dayton, to be closer to her children. She always loved Waco for her many friends and her church, Columbus Avenue Baptist. Her loving husband Si, son Randy and brother James Miller preceded Gwen in death. She is survived by her brother Gene Miller, sister Juanita Walker, daughters Sandra Hiday and Sara Johnson, son Tom Sellers, 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Gwen’s passing has filled us with sadness, but out hearts are lifted by the knowledge she is with our Lord and her Heavenly family.
