Miguel Hernandez May 8, 1924 - February 23, 2014 Miguel Hernandez of Waco passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014. Mass of Christian Burial will be 12:05 p.m., Friday, February 28, at St. Louis Catholic Church with the Rev. Justin Nguyen as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation begins at 6:00 p.m., and Rosary at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 27, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Miguel was born May 8, 1924, in La Villa de Hidalgo Coahuila, Mexico, to Timoteo and Gorgonia Hernandez. He held various jobs and his last 22 years was making horse saddles at Ozark Leather Company. He was the youngest of 13 in his family. His hobbies were playing the guitar and the accordion. He loved music and dancing. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Maria S. Hernandez. He is survived by one daughter, Oralia Howard and husband, Paul of Waco; two sons, Armando Hernandez and wife, Martina of Copperas Cove, Texas and Artemio Hernandez of Waco; eight grandchildren, Martin, Melissa, Andrea, Josephine, Elizabeth, Christopher, Diane and Adam; numerous great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.
