LARREW, MIKE Mike Larrew went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 12, 2002. Services will be at 10:00AM Tuesday, April 16, 2002 at St. Louis Catholic Church with Rev. Melvin Dornak officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. A rosary will be recited at 7:00PM Monday, April 15, 2002 with visitation to follow, Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mr. Larrew was born on June 30, 1947 to Howard and Fannie Jones Larrew in Frederick, Oklahoma. He was a graduate of Waco High School and Cisco Junior College, where her attended on a basketball scholarship. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served his country during the Vietnam War. Mr. Larrew joined the Waco Police Department after returning home from Vietnam and worked for 12 years. He later joined the McLennan County Sheriff’s Department where he worked for 16 years. He was certified by the F.B.I. as a bomb tech in 1993. On May 28, 1994 he married Christine Blann in Marlin. Mike was an avid golfer and outdoorsman, member of the Masonic Lodge and St. Louis Catholic Church. He was a devoted husband, father and friend. Survivors include his wife, Christine Larrew of Crawford; daughter Casey Larrew of Waco; son Jes Briggs of Crawford; sisters-in-law Jane Blann of Weatherford and Judy Olson and husband John of Hewitt; brother-in-law John Blann and wife Marsha of Chilton; best friend Larry Abner of China Spring and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers will be Bud Koen, Harold Ellis, Larry Abraham, Steve Smith, Larry Lynch and Dennis Baier. Honorary pallbearers will be the McLennan Country Sheriff’s Department and Joe Shook.
