Mildred Brooks Cashion February 20, 1923 - January 27, 2009 Mildred Brooks Cashion of Waco passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2009. Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 31, at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 to 12:30, Saturday, January 31, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Mildred was born February 20, 1923 in Henderson, Texas to Chester Brooks and Ann Brooks. She graduated from Tyler High School in 1940 and moved later that year to Waco with her family. She attended 4C College at night and also attended MCC. She worked for Owens Illinois Glass Plant for 38 years, retiring in 1981 as a buyer. Mildred married Mr. Allen G. Cashion in 1953 and he died in 1996. She was a longtime member of North Waco Baptist Church in Waco. She loved animals of all sorts, cats especially, and fed wild birds daily. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. She is survived by several cousins.
