Mildred Dooley Murphy of Robinson passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 6, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home with The Rev. Wayne Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Paris, Texas, on Wednesday, February 7. Visitation will be one hour before the service at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Mildred was born January 4, 1927, in Spring Valley, Texas, to Arthur and Callie Lowry. She was an honor graduate of Lorena High School and a graduate of National School of Business of Waco. She moved to Paris in December of 1959 to set up a District Office for Safeway Stores, Inc. She retired after twenty-seven years as a District Secretary, and then as a church secretary for First United Methodist Church in Paris in 1990. While a member of First United Methodist Church in Paris, Mildred served as a member of the Administrative Board and as Secretary of the Board for three years. She moved to Robinson in 1994 to be close to family. When Mildred became a member of the First United Methodist Church, she served as secretary of the Wesleyan Workers Class. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Ellis and Callie Ingram Lowry; her husband, Edwin "Eddie" Sanderson; husband, Frank Dooley; sisters, Allie Brown, Annie Bryant, Murriel Dixon, and Lillie Sandel; and brothers, Jack Lowry, Arthur Lowry, and Lonnie Lowry. She is survived by her husband, Charles Murphy; and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Waco or the Wesleyan Workers Sunday School Class.
