Mildred Greenwood February 18, 1915 – September 10, 2006 Mildred M. Greenwood, age 91, died Sunday, September 10, 2006. She passed from the loving arms of her family into the arms of her heavenly Father. Rosary and visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2006 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church with Msgr. Mark Deering, Fr. Hilario Juarjardo, the Rev. Ron Durham and Chpln. Pat Patton officiating. Interment will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Mildred was born on February 18, 1915 in Waco to Anna Laura and William H. Gray. She attended Waco High School. On December 26, 1932, she married James Clifford “Cuz” Greenwood in Waco. Mildred was an accomplished seamstress and loving wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clifford; brother, Gordon Gray; sister, Mamie Alexander and two grandchildren, Denis Richard O’Brien III and Michael Timothy O’Brien. Survivors include her daughters: Shirley Anne O’Brien and husband, Denis of Pinehurst, NC; Mary Elizabeth Jackson and husband James of Dallas; Michael Lynne Taylor and husband, Bill of Waco; and Patricia Kathryn Moore and friend Les Hinze of Waco. Mildred was blessed with twelve grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; her brother, William H. Gray, Jr. and wife Pinky of Ft. Worth, and her sister, Myrtle Crittenden of Glendale, CA. Our heartfelt thanks to the loving staff of Hillcrest Community Hospice, especially Linda Halamik and Angela Ceccato for their dedication to Mildred and her family.
