Mildred Barron Kennedy July 3, 1912 – September 23, 2007 Mildred Barron Kennedy passed away Sunday, September 23, 2007, in Katy, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 A.M. at Waco Memorial Park on Wednesday, September 26, 2007. Mildred was born July 3, 1912 in Jewett, Texas to Mary Ella and Jim Barron. She grew up in Jewett where her father had a general store. Mildred graduated from Jewett High School and then went to college and graduated from the University of Texas. She taught school in Jewett, Hearne, El Paso, and Lubbock over a period of forty years. Mildred was a member of the First United Methodist church, a member of the Wesleyan workers Sunday school class, a member of The United Methodist Circle of Light and a member of the Retired Teachers of Texas. Mildred is preceded in death by her parents, her brother and sister-in-law, James I. and Dorothy Barron, and her husband, Leo Kennedy. She is survived by her niece, Paula Barron Judice and her husband Ken Judice; great niece, Jill Judice Artzberger and her husband Richard and their children Aubrey and Garin, and her great nephew, K. Grant Judice and his wife Amanda. Memorials can be made to the First United Methodist Church of Waco or the charity of your choice.
