Mildred Louise Earhart

EARHART, MILDRED Mildred Louise Earhart, 83 of Waco passed on from this life Sunday, February 09, 2003 at a local hospital. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday February 10, 2003 at Waco Memorial North Cemetery with long time family friend Ed Gulley officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mildred was born November 21, 1919 in Sulpher Springs to Fred and Ada Hester. She married Arlon R. Earhart on the 4th of July 1940 in Winnsboro, Texas. They moved to Waco in 1955. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved camping, fishing and good times with her family, friends and members of the “Good Time Campers”. She enjoyed all the visits from her grandchildren in later years of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband Arlon, twin sons that died at birth and a granddaughter, Deana Earhart. Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Austin and husband James of Lorena; sons, Gary Earhart and wife Teresa of Woodland Park, Colorado, Dean Earhart and fiancée Reeæe Geren of Waco; grandchildren, Marcy Earhart Dees, Jason Earhart, Jancy Earhart, Jennifer Austin Anderson, Jamie Austin Pitts, Kim Earhart Scott, Jenea Earhart and Michelle Earhart; six great-grandchildren with one on the way. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Providence Hospice or favorite charity of choice.
