Mildred Pauline Harper September 29, 1919 - April 21, 2010 Mildred Pauline Harper of Robinson passed away peacefully at her home Wednesday, April 21, 2010, with her family and pastor at her bedside. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 26, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Freedman officiating. Burial will follow at Rosenthal Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-5 p.m., Sunday, April 25, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Mildred was born September 29, 1919, on her grandfather's farm in Lorena, Texas, to Lee and Lena Dearen. She was the middle child of three sisters. She was her daddy's boy! Mildred graduated from Texas Women's College in Denton. On July 21, 1941, she eloped with the love of her life, Harold Harper. He promised her if they were still together when they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, they would repeat their vows and have a church ceremony. She never forgot that promise and in July of 1991, they were re-united in marriage with family and friends present. Mildred was an avid gardener and loved being outside. She was a very active member of Bethel Methodist Church of Robinson. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Blahuta and husband, Bill, of Robinson; grandson, Corey Blahuta and wife, Misty, of Austin; two great grandchildren, Emme and O'Brien Blahuta of Austin; two sisters, Inez Fagin and husband, Marshall, and Vera McLaughlin of Dallas; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Beade Northcut, Ken Tindell, Ralph Bowler, Arthur Kackley, Robert Krumnow and Ed Dyer. Memorials may be made to Bethel Methodist Church or Providence Hospice.
