James, Minnie April 4, 1912 – October 20, 2005 Minnie Margaret Ashleman James, 93, passed away October 20, 2005 in Lancaster, Texas. Graveside Services will be at 1:30 PM October 22 at Rosemound Cemetery, Garden Dr. and So. 12th St., with Rev. Don Olson officiating. Minnie was born April 4, 1912 to Adolph and Carolyn Ashleman in Haskell, Texas. She was confirmed in the Lutheran Church at Bellmead, Texas and attended school there. She settled in Dallas in 1940 where she and her husband had a truck farm in Dallas County and sold produce on the Dallas Farmers Market for 48 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Pete Coleman James; her parents, all her siblings: sisters, Leona Richter of Thorndale, TX, Rosa Lee Sanders and Alma Walthal of Waco, TX and brothers, John Ashleman and Eddie Ashleman of Waco. She is survived by her only child, Carole Ann Bawcum of Dallas, TX; grandson, Henry Bawcum and wife, Valerie Crowe of Garland, TX; granddaughter, Carrie Enocksen and husband, Eric of Hutchins, TX, two great grandsons, Pete James O’Connor of Plano, TX and Lathe Alexander Bawcum of Garland, TX. The family wishes to express appreciation to Muriel Phillips and the staff of TLC Residential Living in Garland, TX for the loving care given to Minnie during the 3-1/2 years she was in their care, the personal care provided by Total Concept Hospice, American Hospice and the care provided by the Lancaster Nursing and Rehab Home.
