Miriam H. Kobbeman April 8, 1927-November 6, 2016 Miriam H Kobbeman, 89, of Woodway, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2016, at Sodalis Assisted Living Center & Memory Care in Waco. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 12, in the Garden Room at Wilkirson Hatch Bailey Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:30-6:30 p.m., Friday, November 11, in the Garden Room at Wilkirson Hatch Bailey. Miriam was born on April 8, 1927, in Lisburn, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Levi and Ruth Haring Hoffman. She attended Mechanicsburg Public School and graduated from Mechanicsburg High School in 1945. Later she attended and graduated from McLennan Community College. She worked for the US Navy Depot, CCNBC State Capital Savings and Loan, and after moving to Texas, she worked for North American Aviation. On June 15, 1963, she married the love of her life Donald D Kobbeman at Lisburn Methodist Church in Lisburn. Donald was a chemical engineer with Phillips Rocket Fuels Division in McGregor. They shared a wonderful life together until Donald’s death in 2005. Miriam was a member of First United Methodist Church for many years and member of the Odell Dudley Sunday School Class. Miriam had a wonderful spirit, sense of humor, and was loved by all who knew her. Left to cherish her memory are sisters, Gladys Graham of Lewisberry, Pa., and Clara Gollick and husband, Peter, of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; and nine nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Tommy Riggs, Jr., Evan Klaras, John Boggs, John Cross, Randy Riggs, Tommy Riggs III, Sam Kinslow and Sam Blasche, with Karl Kolm serving as Honorary Pallbearer. Special thanks to Denise Anslyn of Home Instead Senior Care; Marcia and John Boggs; and all of the staff at Sodalis Memory Care.
