Monte Glynn Grayson

GRAYSON, MONTE Monte Glynn Grayson, age 43 of China Spring, lost his courageous battle with cancer at his residence on Monday, Oct. 4, 2004. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 8 at First United Methodist Church, 4901 Cobbs Dr., Waco, TX, with the Rev. Allen Grant officiating. Interment will follow at China Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey garden room. Monte was born to Monte Don and Nelda Grayson on February 8, 1961 in Waco. He attended China Spring schools, where he played on the 1978 China Spring Cougars State Championship football team. He graduated from Baylor University in 1983 with a degree in Business Administration. He was co-owner of Brazos Valley Dental Supply for the past 18 years. He married Denise Sodek Hosch on January 22, 1993. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of China Spring. Monte enjoyed hunting and was an avid fisherman. He has touched many lives and will be greatly missed. Monte is preceded in death by grandparents, Bitt and Muge Grayson, Clifford and Minnie Justice, and uncles, Wayne and Duryl Justice. He is survived by his wife, Denise Grayson of China Spring; parents, Monte Don and Nelda Grayson of China Spring; son, Matthew Scott Grayson of Waco; daughter, Carson Paige Hosch of China Spring; aunt, Vonda Koster and husband, Kenneth Koster of China Spring and step-grandmother, Laverne Manning of Gatesville, Texas and several cousins. Pallbearers will be J.D. Bryant, Scott Woodall, Bill Olson, Chris Brammer, Tim Richardson, Mark Davis, Dave Davis and Johnny Matthews.
