Morgan Ferguson passed away December 27, 2022. A graveside service will take place at 1:30 p.m. Friday, December 30, at Waco Memorial Park.
Morgan was born in Rosebud, Texas, April 18, 1927, to Walter Earl Ferguson and Mable Elsie Roberts Ferguson. He graduated from Rosebud High School in 1943. He worked at Consolidated Aircraft in Fort Worth and installed machine guns in B-24 Liberator bombers. From there, he went to Houston and enlisted in the US Coast Guard. Upon discharge in 1946, he went to work for Central Forwarding, Inc., as a bookkeeper, working his way up and retiring in 1991 as CEO and President of Central Transportation Systems.
Morgan met the love of his life, Doris Pullin, in 1949 and they married June 16, 1950, in Dawson, Texas. He was a member of Columbus Avenue Baptist Church, life member of the VFW and the NRA. He was a member for over 72 years in Waco Masonic Lodge #92, a member of Scottish Rite Bodies, Karem Shrine, and the Royal Order of Jesters.
He devoted his retirement to his ranch in Bosque County where he loved to garden and work with his cattle and “lots of loafing.”
Morgan was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Ferguson; and parents, Walter Earl Ferguson and Mable Roberts Ferguson.
Survivors include his daughter, Camielle Wolfe; son, Kent Ferguson and wife, Deborah Ferguson; along with four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
