PATTON, MORRIS Morris F. Patton, 79, of Waco, passed away April 10, 2004 at a local nursing home. Services will be 1:30pm, Wednesday, April 14 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey chapel with Dr. Buddy Sipe officiating. Graveside services will be at 3pm at Kosse Cemetery. Mr. Patton was born January 8, 1925 in Pattonville, Texas to Oscar and Blanche Patton, and lived there until his teenage years. He joined the army as a teenager. He fought in five major battles including the battle at Normandy. He was a recipient of many medals including five bronze stars. After his discharge he worked at the Veterans Hospital in Waco and met his future wife Betty Jean Lewis. They were married July 17, 1947. He graduated from Baylor in 1953 with a BBA. After Graduation he was employed with Magnolia Pipe Line Company for 8 years, before returning to Waco. He then worked as a purchasing agent for Waco I.S.D. for 32 years and retired as the director of purchasing. He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter Janine Patton. Survivors include spouse, Betty Jean Patton; daughter, Kathi Summers and husband Clay; sons, Larry Wayne Patton and wife Jackie and David Morris Patton and wife Patricia; grandchildren, Lindsey Michelle Patton, Matthew, Andrew and Jason Kruger, and Cory Summers; sisters Edna Pugh and husband Dave of Eureka, Kansas and Louise Anderton and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Matthew Kruger, Matthew Barrett, Clay Summers, Charles D. Copeland, Lawrence Gifford and Billy Ross Swingler.
