GLASGOW, MRS. R.E. LOLLIE Mrs. R.E. Lollie Glasgow, age 88, died Tuesday, February 26, 2002 at a local nursing home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM Friday, March 1 at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Ken Kesselus officiating. Visitation with the family will be 4:00-6:00PM Thursday, February 28 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mrs. Glasgow was born August 5, 1913 in Brenham, Texas to Thomas B. and Haidee Van Hutton Botts. She grew up in Houston and later graduated from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, where she was a Homecoming Queen and years later, Coming Home Queen. In 1939, she married Lee Glasgow and moved to Waco, where she was an active member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church for many years and served as a Sunday School teacher, in All Saint’s Guild, and Meals on Wheels. She was active in many volunteer groups in Waco including being a member and officer of PTA, a Camp Fire Girl Leader, and Hillcrest Hospital Auxiliary. She was an avid bridge player with the “girls”. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Glasgow, in 1982, and a grandson, Tom Whitt, in 1991. She is survived by her daughters, Joan Glasgow Keeling and husband, Ed of Brady and Anne Glasgow Whitt and husband, Joe Bob of Waco, grandchildren, Lee Keeling and wife, Tami; Jim Keeling and wife, Cris; Kay Calloway and husband, Chris and seven great grandchildren.
