July 24, 1918 — June 17, 2004

WORTHAM, MYRTLE Myrtle Cobbs Wortham 85, of Waco died Thursday, June 17, 2004 at a local hospital. Services will be at 3pm Monday, June 21 at Bosqueville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dan Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Bosqueville Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 pm Sunday, June 20 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Mrs. Wortham was born July 24, 1918 in Pillsbury, North Dakota to Helmer and Ida Peterson Norman. She was reared and educated there. She had been a resident of the Waco area for the past 44 years. She married Willie H. Bill Cobbs February 15, 1939. He preceded her in death March 11, 1974. She married Robert B. Dude Wortham March 8, 1977. He died September 20, 1979. She was also preceded by one son, Robert S. Wortham, her parents, four brothers and two sisters. Mrs. Wortham was a member of Bosqueville United Methodist Church. She loved her church family and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include daughters, Jeanne Bryant of Tucson, Arizona and Colleen De Keyser of Waco; son, Bill Cobbs of Bremerton, Washington; eight granddaughters; one grandson; 13 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Doris Norman of Foxhome, Minnesota; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Paul Vermilion, Dennis A. De Keyser, Dennis W. De Keyser, Greg Hollander, Ricky Quinn, and Zachary Smith. Memorials may be made to Bosqueville United Methodist Church.
