Myrtle Fay York

York, Myrtle Myrtle Fay Hart York, 84, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2005 at a local nursing home. Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, August 18, at Ridgepark Cemetery in Hillsboro. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, August 17 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque. Mrs. York was born January 8, 1921 to William Wister and Myrtle Lee Malone Hart in Osceola, Texas. She lived a dignified life, full of grace and love. She was quick witted and had a wonderful dry sense of humor. She enjoyed sharing stories of her life. Her hobbies were few, but she loved to shop and travel. She directed her cause in death as well as in life. Heaven’s gain is our loss. She will be loved for an eternity. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, John William Hart and her loving and devoted husband of 47 years, Thomas York. She is survived by sister, Susie Mae Stringer; brother, Oscar C. Hart, Sr. and wife Juanita; adoptive family, Jodie and Tommie Ludwig and family; special friend Andres Ceballos and family; several nieces and one nephew and many great and great great nieces and nephews. Thanks to caring nurses, aides and staff at St. Catherine’s and Providence Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Providence Hospice or charity of choice.
