Napoleon Y. Tannous of Waco passed away Friday, February 17, 2017. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 24, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home with Father John Guzaldo officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m., Friday, one hour prior to the service at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Napoleon was born January 25, 1925, in Cairo, Egypt, to Youssef and Alice Tannous. Napoleon was a journalist for Reuters in Lebanon and covered the Middle East for 40 years. He was a journalist covering political and historical events. Napoleon was preceded in death by his parents; and the love of his life, the late Georgette Tannous. He is survived by two sons, Majdi Tannous and wife, Christina, of Waco, and Hani Tannous and wife, Shireen, of California; one daughter, Maha and husband, Gus Calderon, of California; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
