It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nathan Peebles, who departed this world March 14, 2024, at the age of 44.
A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 25, 2024, in the Chapel at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home in Waco, Texas. The funeral service will begin in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m., with burial to follow at Waco Memorial Park in Robinson, Texas.
Born July 21, 1979, Nathan led a life marked by love, laughter, and unwavering devotion for his family. Nathan was the former Vice President of the Southwest Region for Daltile and dedicated 21 years of service to the company. He graduated from Midway High School in 1997 and went on to earn a degree from Texas Tech in 2001.
Nathan was well known for his love of hunting and fishing, as well as his passion for helping others. His warm smile and generous spirit endeared him to everyone he met. He had an innate ability to make others feel valued and loved, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him. He cherished his visits to Waco and time spent with his large family. Above all, he adored his children Ainsley and Lincoln and took great pride in attending their basketball, soccer, and golf tournaments.
Nathan was preceded in death by his father, Huhey Peebles; step-father, Benny Booker; and grandfather, Carlton Kilgo.
He is survived by his children, Ainsley and Lincoln, and their mother Carrie Peebles; brother, Ben Booker and his wife, Stephanie, and nephews, Bowen and Griffen; brother, Jason Booker and his wife, Carman; his mother, Diane Booker and her partner, Jay Russell; grandmother, Margaret Kent; as well as numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
Pallbearers will be Dylan Snapp, Colt Snapp, Brody Snapp, Jimmy Archer, Matt Sprague, Andy Mejia, John Warner, David Simons, Brian Cain, and Trey Metz.
Memorials may be made to Trinity Oaks Outdoors, a nonprofit dedicated to once-in-a-lifetime hunting and fishing experiences for the children of Purple Heart and combat veterans, children with special needs, and families facing life-threatening illnesses.
