Nealy O “Woody” Woodard November 7, 1942 - August 27, 2006 Nealy O “Woody” Woodard of Elk passed away Sunday, August 27, 2006 at his home. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, August 31, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Bosque Chapel with Major Tom Overton officiating. Burial will follow at Pavelka Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, August 30, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Woody was born November 7, 1942 in Waco to Oren and Mandy Woodard. He worked at General Tire for many years and then went to work for the McLennan County Sheriff’s Department. Woody also owned and operated Woodard and Sons Septic Service. Woody was a friend to everyone, a giving person and loved visiting with neighbors. He will be missed by all. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Helen Christensen. He is survived by his loving wife Pat; his two sons: Carl and wife, Jolie; and Nealy and wife, Angie; his brothers, Joe Woodard and wife, Sharon and John Woodard and wife, Ann. He is also survived by his sisters, Mary “Cotton” Woodard and Maj. Sue Overton and husband, Tom; and his two granddaughters, Cortney and Rachael Woodard. Pallbearers are Tom Thun, John Woodard, Leslie Woodard, Larry Woodard, Mark Breton and Robert Saucedo.
