Nelda Wigley Locke February 14, 1932 December 24, 2010 Nelda Wigley Locke, age 78, passed away December 24, 2010, after a long battle with cancer. A joint memorial service will be held for Nelda and Morgan Locke at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January, 8, at Wilkirson Hatch Bailey Funeral Home. She was born February 14, 1932, in Waco to E.C. "Buster" Wigley, Sr. and Lura Maud Wigley. Upon graduation from Waco High School in 1949, she continued her education at Baylor University. The summer of 1953 was the start a lifelong adventure: graduation from Baylor in June, and then in the following weeks, her marriage to Morgan Locke, Jr. Nelda was active in social clubs and well known for her dinner parties with their friends and Morgan's associates from work. She was always ready for the next adventure whether it was teaching elementary school, golfing with Morgan, getting her pilot's license, climbing a desert mountain or moving to the country of Jordan for six years. She enjoyed traveling and was able to connect with anyone, regardless of their nationality or religion. This thoughtful and caring trait gave her many friendships that spanned several countries for decades. Nelda was preceded in death unexpectedly by Morgan last month; her parents; and two brothers, Franklin and Thomas Wigley. She is survived by her son, Bob Locke and wife, Debbi, of Bremen, IN; daughter, Mollie Eisenman and husband, Steve, of Waco; grandson, Mike Locke, of Bremen; granddaughter, Sarah Childs and husband, Cody, of Waco; two great-granddaughters, Summer and Savannah Childs; a brother, Clif Wigley Jr. and wife, Annetta; and a sister, Rose Ann Dawson and husband, Charles Aboy. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and many beloved friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Frontier Hospice Oklahoma City, OK, Providence Hospice Waco, TX, the American Cancer Society, or Baylor University.
