Windola Lanell Russell August 12, 1938 September 24, 2013 Windola Lanell Nell Bozeman Russell of Waco, Texas went home to be the Lord on Tuesday September 24, 2013. Services will be 11:00 a.m., September 27, with visitation at 10:00 a.m., at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow immediately at Oakwood Cemetery. A reception will be held in her honor at Comfort Suites, 2700 LaSalle Ave, following the graveside services. Windola Russell was born to William and Muzetta Bozeman in Texas City, TX on August 12, 1938. She married Lewis Henry Russell and had three children, Lewis Clay Russell, Lonnie Russell, and Kandye Sparkman. As a young woman she worked as a substitute teacher and in her later years, she was a child care provider and a homemaker. She was known to all as Nana, a kind loving person that surrounded herself with friends and family. She enjoyed caring for her grandchildren, going to garage sales and traveling with her siblings. She is preceded in death by husband, Lewis Russell; parents, William and Muzetta Bozeman; three brothers, Lester Bozeman, Larston Bozeman, and Normie Dean Bozeman; two sisters, Charlie Bozeman and Lanette Dockery; and grandchildren, Brandon Wiese and Brandolyn Russell. She is survived by sons, Lewis Clay Russell and Lonnie Russell; daughter, Kandye Sparkman; 14 grandchildren, Jason Russell, Cody Russell, Phelicia Russell, Pharen Russell, Ashely Russell, Lewis James Russell, Rachel Russell, Kaidynce Russell, Brittny Wiese, Bobby Wiese, Colton Wiese, Ashley Sparkman, Amber Sparkman and Dustin Sparkman; and six brothers, Delmer Bozeman, Troy Bozeman, Terry Bozeman, George Bozeman, Billy Bozeman and Dale Bozeman; 24 great grandchildren; and best friend, Cheryl Young. Pallbearers are grandsons Bobby Wiese, Colton Wiese, Dustin Sparkman, Jason Russell, Cody Russell, Lewis James Russell and family friends, Justin Sexton and Matthew Jimenez. Honorary pallbearers are brothers, Dale, Terry, Billy, George, Troy and Delmer Bozeman. The family would like to give a special thanks to Saint Catherine Center for their loving care.
