December 15, 1914 — July 21, 2003

NELLIE DOUGLAS Nellie M. Douglas, 88, went to be with her Lord Monday July 21, 2003 at her daughter’s home in Robinson. She fought a courageous battle with cancer for 10 months. Graveside services will be 10:00am Wednesday, July 23rd at Rosemound Cemetery with the Rev. Pamela Dykehouse officiating. Mrs. Douglas will lie in state at Wilkirson Hatch Bailey Funeral Home, 1124 Washington Ave. Nellie was born in Temple, TX December 15, 1914 to Carrol and Retha Thomas and later graduated from Waco High School. She worked as a Dental Assistant at the Waco V.A. Medial Center until her retirement. She had been a member of the Herring Ave. Methodist Church since 1925 and was also a member of V.F.W. Auxiliary Post #2148 for many years. Nellie was dearly loved by her friends and family, she will be greatly missed. Mrs. Douglas was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, Sgt. Leslie C. Douglas and a stepson, Johnny Devers. Survivors: Daughter:Retha N. Webb of Robinson Step-Daughter:Leslie Pruehitt of Bellmead Step-Son:Dan Douglas of Florida Grandchildren: 6sixMark Webb and Matt Webb of Houston, Mike Webb of Wisconsin, Dawn Bridges of Dallas, Sharmin Tummins of Bellmead and Angel Smith of Waco. Great-Grandchildren: 11 eleven The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice for their loving care. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Providence Hospice, Waco. WILKIRSON HATCH BAILEY
