Nettie Sarah Rose

Sarah Rose CARLSBAD CA -Sarah Rose, 88, a four year resident of Carlsbad and former long time resident of Waco died peacefully in her sleep :4' Saturday, April 7, 2001 at the residence of her niece Sherian A. Van Matre. Born November 1, 1912 in Bralnley AR she was the office manager at the Sanger's Insurance Agency of Waco for 40 years. Miss Rose was a long standing member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and was preceded in death by sisters Oleta Rose, Christine Hestont Nannette Birkhead and brother Torn P. Birkhead all of Waco. She is survived by niece and nephew Sherian A. and J.Ed Van Matre of Carlsbad, god-daughter Melinda Darrow of Austin, and sister-in-law Jane Birkhead Kinne of Houston. Visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 7:30pm Tuesday, April 17, 2001 at the Wilkerson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home, 6101 Bosque Blvd., Waco. Graveside services will be held at l:oopm Wednesday, April 18, 2001 at Oakwood Cemetery, Waco. The family suggests contributions in her memory be made to the Hospice by the Sea, 312 S.
