Noe Lopez Morales

April 1, 1938 — November 11, 2022

Noe Lopez Morales, 84, of Waco, passed away Friday, November 11, 2022 surrounded by his beautiful family. Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 19, at Oakwood Cemetery.  A memorial service will follow at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, November 19, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home with Dr. Leslie King officiating. The family will receive guests from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 18, 2022 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home’s Garden Room.

Noe was born on April 1, 1938, in Tlacotepec de Mejia, Mexico to Primitivo Lopez and Tadie Morales. It was fitting that he was born on April Fool’s Day as he never missed an opportunity to pull off a prank. He married the love of his life, Rosa Neri Castillo, on February 28, 1958 after dating only for a couple of weeks. Together they devoted their lives to raising their six children in Mexico. In August 1977, they immigrated to the U.S. in order to provide a better future for their kids. Noe was known for his strong work ethic and he retired from Wal-Mart after 25 years. Upon retirement he found great joy in being present for his great-grandchildren’s extracurricular activities, especially their baseball games. He enjoyed playing pool, dominoes, gardening, and making everyone around him laugh, but his greatest joy was spending time with his beautiful family, as he liked to refer to them. For several years, he faithfully took his family to Chick-Fil-A on Mondays for lunch. They became regulars and were so beloved by the staff that they threw Noe a birthday party at the restaurant. He was a member at Iglesia Tierra de Bendicion and made sure to shake everyone’s hands.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Jesus “Chuchito” Lopez Castillo; brothers, Primitivo “Primo” Lopez Morales, Abel Lopez Morales; sister, Herminia “Mina” Lopez Morales; half-brother, Gustavo Cespedes; half-sister, Esperanza Lopez; and great-granddaughter Madison Yolanda Cuevas.

He is survived by his wife; son, Cain Lopez; four daughters, Rocio Lopez Blake and husband, Jaime, Leticia Conde and husband, Cuahutemoc, Gema Cambambia and husband, Miguel, Norma Enith Veloz and husband, Jose Alfredo; four granddaughters, Sarai Blake Cuevas and husband, Irie Friend, Abigail Ruth Blake, Roxana Cambambia Reyes and husband, Bryan, and Ruby Elizabeth Veloz; four grandsons, Joshua Nathaniel Blake, Jesus Abdiel Conde and wife, Anyerit, Jonathan Miguel Cambambia, and Javier Eduardo Conde; six great-grandchildren, Ethan Isaiah Cuevas, Evan Josiah Cuevas, Aaron Andrew Rodriguez, Isabella Rose Rodriguez, Aurora Leia Conde, Luca Mateo Conde, and Cristian Daniel Conde; sister, Maria Ester Lopez Morales; and a large extended family.

Pallbearers will be Irie Friend Cuevas, Joshua Nathaniel Blake, Jesus Abdiel Conde, Jonathan Miguel Cambambia, Bryan Abraham Reyes, Javier Eduardo Conde, and Ethan Isaiah Cuevas.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Evan Josiah Cuevas, Aaron Andrew Rodriguez, Luca Mateo Conde, Cristian Daniel Conde.

Noe will be greatly missed by his earthly family, but they are comforted knowing that he is home with his heavenly family. The family would like to thank all those who prayed for him and also the medical team that cared for him so well, Doctors Isaac and Natalie Lippe and their Nurses Victoria and Shailea, and Dr. Anna VanderHeiden and her Nurse Dina, and all the staff at Ascension Providence and Community Healthcare of Texas-Providence Hospice who guided us in his last days.

The family invites you to leave a message or share pictures on our “Tribute Wall” at www.WHBfamily.com.
