Norma "Mrs. W.E." Marstaller July 31, 1913 - February 24, 2012 Mrs.Norma Marstaller, 98, returned to her Lord on Friday, February 24, 2012, at St. Catherine Center. Services will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, February 26, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with the Rev. Ron Durham officiating. There will be a private family burial at Waco Memorial Park the following week. Mrs. Marstaller was born July 31, 1913, in Shattuck, Oklahoma, to Rev. Julius E. and Charlotte Steinhaus Ehrhorn. She graduated from Waco High School in 1932 and attended business school in Dallas, as well as Baylor University. Norma met her husband, William E. Marstaller, at Cottonwood Baptist Church, where her father was the pastor. They were married July 5, 1938, at the Carroll Avenue Baptist Church in Dallas. Mrs. Marstaller worked at the Baptist Book Store in Dallas while William attended Baylor Medical School. After William received his medical degree in June 1941, the couple moved to New Orleans for his internship, where Norma was the house mother of the nurses' dormitory. They then moved to Pineville, LA., for his residency. Dr. Marstaller entered the U.S. Army in 1944. Upon completion of his service, they moved to Waco where he opened his successful medical practice. Dr. and Mrs. Marstaller joined Columbus Avenue Baptist Church in 1945 and served there faithfully. William was a deacon, while Norma served in many places in the church the children's department, director of Sunday school department, numerous committees and later in the church library. She delivered meals on wheels for over 15 years and belonged to many committees and clubs in Waco, including the Women's Medical Auxiliary, Newspaper Club, Altrusa Club, among others. Nana love family and churchshe was the perfect wife, mother and grandmother. Dr. Marstaller passed away on February 7, 1978. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Roland Ehrhorn; her sisters, Elise Ehrhorn, Alma Guderian Kincannon and Hilda Downie. She is survived by her daughter, Jan M. Jackson and husband, Mike, of Waco; granddaughters, Kimberly Wiethorn of Santa Monica, CA, and Kelli Wiethorn of Austin; her son, Richard Marstaller of Austin; and grandsons, Cody Marstaller of Dallas and Shea Marstaller of Austin. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Mrs. Raymond L Buster Marstaller of Waco; and several nieces, nephew, and cousins; including her niece, Mrs. Robert J. Beverly Pettigrew of Waco, always loving and faithful to her Aunt Norma. Appreciation is expressed by the family to Becky Paylor, Carolyn Sanders, Darlene Snell, Leanna Davis, and the many other loving caregivers throughout the years.
