STANTON, NORMAN Norman Stanton, 88, of Waco, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2005 at Scott and White hospital in Temple. Services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, March 3, at Park Lake Drive Baptist Church with Rev. Drew Wilson and Rev. David Shuttlesworth officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial North. Visitation with the family will be from 6-8 pm, Wednesday, March 2 at the funeral home. Norman Everette Stanton was born November 11, 1916 in South Hampton, Long Island, NY, to Norman Franklin and Cecelia May Stanton. He was married to his loving wife, Adele Peterson Stanton, on June 6, 1942. Norman was very active in the Boy Scouts, in both leadership and as a scout. He moved to Andrews, TX, in 1975 to work as a Maintenance Engineer for the Kirby Vacuum factory. While in Andrews he was the President of the local Lion's Club. He became a member of Park Lake Drive Baptist Church after moving to Waco in 1985. He was later on ordained as a Deacon of the same church. Norman was proceeded in death by his father, Norman Franklin Stanton, and his mother, Cecelia Stanton, sister, Helen Tambruella, and one grandson, Ashley Stanton. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Adele Stanton, of Waco, his sons, Warren Stanton, and wife Dianne Stanton, of Pembroke, MA; Gary Stanton, and wife Donna Stanton, of Plympton, MA; Bryant Stanton, and wife Suzanne Stanton, of Waco, TX. One brother, Robert Stanton, and wife Sally, of Gainesville MO, and one sister, Elizabeth Tiedeman, of Lake Worth, FL. Grandchildren, Christian Stanton, of Pembroke, MA, Brooke Stanton, and husband Lance, of Pembroke, MA, Tully Moeller, and husband Andrew, of Buffalo, NY, Tiffany Stanton, Nathan Stanton, Jordan Stanton, Samuel Stanton, Sarah Stanton, Julie Stanton, and Timothy Stanton, all of Waco, TX. Great-grandchildren, Grayson Stanton, Alexis and Jackson Moeller, Skye Stanton, and Benjamin Stanton. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends who all loved him dearly.
