Norman G. Mcgregor

September 15, 1938 — July 28, 2001

NORMAN G. McGREGOR, age 62, of Woodway passed from this life to eternal life on Saturday, July 28th. Services will be at Harris Creek Baptist Church at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 31. Burial will follow in Crawford Cemetery. Visitation is at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd, on Monday, July 30 from 6:30-8:30 PM. Norman was born and grew up in the Moody area. He proudly served his country in the US Army. While stationed in Germany, he met and married his lovely wife Gerda. Upon his return home, he embarked on a successful 24-year career with Certainteed Corporation. In more recent years, together with his wife and daughters, the McGregor’s pursued their family businesses, Kindler’s Gem Jewelers and H2O Systems, Inc. Norman enjoyed the outdoors. In his younger days he spent time with his family camping, fishing and skiing at the lake. In later years he enjoyed time relaxing on his houseboat and at his farm. The lights of his life were his grandchildren, Jared, Bradley, Michael and Ainsley. His grandchildren were his earthly treasures. He loved them so much more than mere words can express. Norman was the most wonderful Paw-Paw. Norman was preceded in death by his parents Garland and Novye McGregor; brothers Ronnie, Bryant, and Jerry and an infant sister, Carol Anne. Norman is survived by his wife Gerda; daughters and sons-in-law Janet and David Skopik of Harris Creek and Tammi and Mike Barrett of China Spring and his most precious grandchildren Jared, Bradley and Ainsley Skopik and Michael Barrett. Norman is also survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law Garlene and Donald Baize and family of Crawford and Marsha and Bill Stanford and family of Crawford and several nieces and nephews. Other family members are Ina Talbert and Duane McGregor, Paul and Inge Eberle and their son Kai, Omer and Lore Demirkir of Germany and Klaus and Gertrud Nussbaum and Ulrich also of Germany. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 We rest in our faith and trust in Jesus. Norman grew in his faith and trusted in Jesus. Pallbearers will be David Skopik, Mike Barrett, Heath Stanford, Bill Stanford, Barry Baize, Jeff baize, Donald Baize and Gene Upshaw.
