NORWIN CRENWELGE Norwin Walter Crenwelge, 90, of Waco, died Sunday, March 10, 2002 in a local nursing home. Services will be 10:00AM, Tuesday, March 12 at St. Louis Catholic Church with The Rev. Monsignor Mark Deering officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. A rosary will be recited 6:30PM Monday, March 11 at WILKIRSON-HATCH-BAILEY Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd. with Rev. Isidore Rozycki officiating. Mr. Crenwelge was born July 30, 1911, in the Doss community near Fredericksburg. Until his retirement, he was an aircraft mechanic at James Connally Air Force Base in Waco. He then managed the Knights of Columbus Hall for 8 years. He was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus & a member of St. Louis Catholic Church. Norwin spent the last years of his life in the loving care of the kind staff of St. Catherine Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Arthur Crenwelge, Sr., 3 brothers, Victor, Gene & Lee Crenwelge and 1 sister, Estella Stevens. Survivors: wife of 62 years, Elizabeth Crenwelge of Waco; daughter, JoAnn Etzel & husband Bill of Houston; son, Denis Crenwelge & wife Mary of New Iberia, Louisiana; granddaughters, Pamela Roche & husband Greg of Houston, Jenney Crenwelge of Denver, Colorado; grandson, Scott Etzel of Houston; great grandson, John Francis Roche of Houston; sisters, Gertrude Fritz of Estes Park, Colorado, Elna Pfiester, Lola Herbort & Oda Wahl all of Fredericksburg, Emma Arhelger of Kerrville and 1 brother, Arthur Crenwelge of Fredericksburg.
