Novelia Dell Wilkinson April 3, 1917 June 18, 2009 NOVELlA DELL WlLKINSON slipped peacefully into her new life and the waiting arms of her Lord on June 18, 2009. She realized her dream of nine years and was reunited with her precious Howard. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 20, at Waco Memorial Park. Novelia was born April 3, 1917 in Shirley, Tennessee, the sixth child of Wm. T. "Tom" and Rebecca "Becky" Tompkins Kimbrell. She spoke often of her early years spent on the Bobbit Ranch with her six brothers and sister. Novelia caught Howard's eye while playing basketball for Abbott HS. She was a loving mother and homemaker. She enjoyed and retired from Leon's Cinderella in 1981, after 25 years of service. She was blessed with 65 years of marriage to her husband, Howard, who preceded her to the Lord January 4, 2000. Also preceding her to the Lord was her beloved granddaughter, Sherrie Lyn Watson, of Italy, Texas. Novelia's love lives on in the hearts and memories of her daughter, Peggy Jo Johnson and husband, Jim, of Waco; son, H. Michael Wilkinson and wife, Linda, of Waco; brother, Nelson Kimbrell, of ltasca; four grandchildren, Dr. Michael R. Wilkinson, Brooke N. Wilkinson, Jennifer M. Wilkinson, all of Florida; and Laura B. Wilkinson of Flower Mound, Texas. She was especially proud of her new great grandson, Xander Maddox; and Dorothy Van Arman, a devoted friend of over 60 years. Special gratitude to her loving caregivers of long standing, Doris and Emily Ballard; Kristi Burkett and the wonderful staff at Bluebonnet Home Health Care, Providence Hospital and Providence Hospice.
