BAILEY, ODELL Odell Bailey, age 87, of Woodway died Wednesday, March 20, 2002 at a local hospital. Services will be held at 2:00pm Friday, March 22 at Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Steve Ramsdell officiating. Entombment will follow at Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation with the family will be 6:00-8:00 pm Thursday, March 21 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mr. Bailey was born August 3, 1914 in Hillsboro. He was reared and educated in Itasca. He married Hazel Patterson September 21, 1940 in Cleburne. He was a veteran of U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. He had been a resident of Woodway for the past 35 years. He worked at the U. S. Postal Service for 28 years before retiring in June 1973. Mr. Bailey was a member of First United Methodist Church where he was active in the Wesleyan Workers Sunday School Class. He was also a member of Lee Lockwood Masonic Lodge #1343 and Karem Shrine Temple. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles R. and Clara Bailey; two brothers, Dee and Joe Bailey; and his son-in-law, Peeler Williams III. Survivors include his wife, Hazel Bailey and daughter, Pamela Williams both of Woodway. Honorary pallbearers are members of Wesleyan Workers Sunday School Class at First United Methodist Church. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation or First United Methodist Church. WILKIRSON-HATCH-BAILEY
