Odie Merrill Cowart, Jr. November 5, 1953 - May 5, 2012 Odie Merrill Cowart, Jr. of Waco passed away Saturday, May 5, 2012 at St. Catherine's Center. Graveside services will be 3:30 p.m., Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Oakwood Cemetery. Burial will follow. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Odie was born November 5, 1953 in Waxahachie, Texas to Odie and Jean Cowart, Sr. He was preceded in death by his parents, and nephew, Samuel H. Wilson, III. He is survived by one daughter, Stefani Cowart, Marlin, TX; one sister, Dorothea Wilson and husband Dr. Samuel Wilson, II, North Carolina; one niece, Kathy Kohler and husband, Jeff, Colorado; seven great nieces and nephews and a friend Beverly Smith.
