SCHWANK, OLIVIA Olivia Schwank, age 86, of Lorena died Friday, March 1, 2002 at her residence. Services will be held at 10:00AM Monday, March 4 at First Baptist Church of Lorena with Rev. Mike Patterson and Rev. Bill Schibler officiating. Burial will follow at Cottonwood Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 3:00-5:00PM Sunday, March 3 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mrs. Schwank was born June 7, 1915 in Cottonwood, Texas to Rudolph Carl and Sadie Wooley Guderian. She married Roy H. Schwank December 26, 1938; he preceded her in death February 6, 1997. She graduated with honors from Baylor University, Class of 1936. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lorena and taught Friendship Sunday School Class for many years. She was a retired schoolteacher who taught all four of her children at Lorena I.S.D. She was referred to as “The Teacher” by one life long friend. The family would like to thank her friends for all the prayers and cards. Also, thank you to Scott and White Hospice for their ever present care and help. Mrs. Schwank was a godly saint, who served the Lord and witnessed for Him her entire life. She was also preceded in death by daughter, Marilyn Schwank February 16, 1999. Survivors include her daughter, Beverly Freeman of Sachse; sons, Ronald Schwank of Lorena and Don Schwank of Brazoria; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and brother, J. K. Guderian of Lorena. Pallbearers will be Chris Youngkin, Ben Schwank, Bob Schwank, Darrell Smith, David Freeman, and Ken Freeman. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Lorena.
