FOSTER, ONA Ona Foster, age 89, of Waco died Wednesday, August 14, 2002 at a local hospital. Services will be held at 11:30am Saturday, August 17 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd. with Rev. Ron Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8pm Friday, August 16 at the funeral home. Mrs. Foster was born November 14, 1912 in Coryell County near Osage. She attended Prairie Chapel School and graduated from Crawford High School in 1930. She married T/Sgt. Edgar R. Foster in 1948. He preceded her in death March 5, 1978. She worked in the McLennan County Tax Office for 28 years retiring in 1980. She then worked as a volunteer at Providence Hospital for nine years. Mrs. Foster was a member of Central Baptist Church, where she was active in W.M.F. and Sunday School. Survivors include sisters, Edna Dreyer of Gatesville and Ruby Burns of Waco and numerous nieces and nephews.
