Opal Christel Gotcher

GOTCHER, OPAL C. Opal C. Gotcher, age 89, of Robinson, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2003, at a local nursing home. Services will be held at 11am Saturday, May 3 at First Baptist Church of Robinson with the Rev. Micheal Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial North. Visitation with the family will be from 5-7pm Friday, May 2 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mrs. Gotcher was born and attended schools in Rogers, Texas. She graduated from Academy High School in 1933, and married William L. Gotcher in 1935 at Davilla, Texas. She and her family moved to Robinson in 1954. She was a longtime member and Sunday-School teacher at First Baptist Church of Robinson. She was preceded in death by her husband William L. Gotcher, Sr. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Christel and Kenneth Baker of Waco; her son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Dixie Gotcher of Fairborn, Ohio; four grandchildren, five great grandchildren; and sisters, Lois Allison of Holland, Texas, Gladys Barnett of Alvarado, Texas and Rachel Tomlin of Temple, Texas. Pallbearers will be Randall Middleton, Tommy Cardwell, Clark Griffin, Marvin Chappell, Billy Walker, and Billie Basket. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Robinson.
