Ora Mae Ottilie Simek

Ora Mae Simek of Alvin, formerly of Waco, passed away Friday, June 14, 2024.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at St. Louis Catholic Church in Waco, Texas, with interment to follow at Waco Memorial Park Cemetery. Rosary and viewing will be held the evening prior from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 18, 2024, in the Chapel at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home.

Ora Mae was born February 3, 1933. She retired from Insurance of Texas. After retirement she enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, oil painting, tending to her flowers, dancing, and playing dominoes.

Ora Mae was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Leroy Simek; and her daughter, Peggy Pepin.

She is survived by one son, Quinn Simek; her grandchildren, Roger Simek and wife, Courtney, Rory Simek, Reagen Hines and husband, Gabriel, Rebecca Jones and husband, Chaz; as well as her seven great-grandchildren, Madison, Tanner, Abigail, Jaxon, Emmalee, Jase, and Rylee; she is also survived by other dear family and friends.
