Orland W. Monaghan August 2, 1913 - July 14, 2009 Orland W. Monty Monaghan of Waco passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2009. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 17, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Rev. Ron Durham officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. O.W. was born August 2, 1913 in Curry, Texas to Otha and Agnes Monaghan. He was the owner/operator of Monty's Auto Service for 30+ years, after retirement he loved to travel, play dominoes, and was a very devoted Baylor Bear fan. He was always dependable and available to go where he was needed to take care of his children and grandchildren's cars. O.W. was a member of Columbus Avenue Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 53 years, Velma Burleson Monaghan and wife of 10 years, Oneal Honey Green Monaghan. He is survived by his daughter, Carolyn Vicha and husband, Ted; his son, Larry Monaghan; grandchildren, Pam Bland, Brenda Baker, Ted D. Vicha and wife, Julie; Lawrence Monaghan and Kalie Monaghan; and the Green children and grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter; brother, James Monaghan and wife, Dorothy of Austin.
