Orlo William Lang

October 9, 1920 — July 28, 2001

ORLO LANG, 80, of Waco, died Saturday at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Monday, July 30, 2001 at St. Louis Catholic Church, the Rev. Melvin Dornak officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM Sunday, July 29, 2001 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home Chapel. 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mr. Lang was born October 9, 1920 in Waseca, MN to Emil and Martha Lang. He married Magdalen Sutter January 9, 1944. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving in World War II. He was employed as a nursing home administrator for several years, retiring in 1986. Mr. Lang was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church. He was a lifetime member of the Waco Chapter of Football Officials. The family wishes to thank family and friends for their love and support and also Dr. Gary Barbin and Providence Hospice for their care and compassion. Survivors include his wife Magdalen Mickie Lang of Waco; his daughter Pam Lang of Waco; his son Richard Lang of Minneapolis, Minn; his sister-in-law Katherine Cox and her husband Jack of Waco; two brothers-in-law: Edward Sutter and his wife Lora of Irving and John Sutter and his wife Reba of Pontotoc, MS; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jake Bonds, Robert L. Sutter, Don Cox, Edward Sutter, Leland Morgan and Robert R. Sutter. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Cox and the Waco Chapter of Football Officials. Memorials may be made to Providence Hospice or St. Louis School. WILKIRSON-HATCH-BAILEY
